Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center

Development

The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center project is designed to shape cancer care, research and education in Nebraska, the region and the world. Through collaboration between the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and its hospital partner, Nebraska Medicine, patients will experience personalized care – based on the latest scientific research – in one facility. The 10-story building, directly east of the Durham Research Center towers, consists of research and clinical patient care services. The Research Tower is comprised of 98 labs dedicated to breast, brain, pancreatic, GI, prostate, lymphoma, leukemia, lung, head and neck, pediatric, and women’s cancer research. The Clinical Treatment Facility features a three floor, 108 bed inpatient hospital, clinics, infusion, radiation therapy, surgery, radiology, and collaborative treatment/diagnostics. The facility was completed in 2017.
